Jumeirah Beach Road

Sunny time at Wild Wadi

In Dubai, everything has its own theme...even a water park! Located on Jumeirah Beach Road just adjacent to Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Burj Al Arab is "Wild Wadi" an ultimate outdoor water park not to be missed by any tourists!

There're over 14 rides for you to choose, from the famous "Jumeirah Sceirah", a 33-meter slide that takes you up to 80 kg/h, a "Master Blaster" described as an uphill water roller coaster and "Flowriders" specially for those who love to surf. For a less thrilling ride for younger family members, try "Summit Surge" or "Rushdown Ravine", the kids will love it!

Shopping in Dubai

Shopping in Dubai is definitely a phenomenon as there are numerous shopping malls to cater your every need. And because Dubai is also notable for its open port, low import duties and the tax-free status! You can say that it is literally a paradise for all the shoppers!

So don't let a day of your stay goes by without visiting the fabulous shopping malls. Start with Jumeirah Road, this road is lined with chic cafes and shopping malls, you can easily spend the whole day going from one mall to another!

Mall of the Emirates

I started my first day in Dubai with "Mall of The Emirates", the currently largest shopping mall in the middle-east. We got there by a private taxi which cost us AED 25. When we got out of the car, I was hit by a really hot wind (the temp was 48c.!!) so we quickly got inside the building for air-conditioning. There are tons of stores like Louis Vuitton, Boss, Mont Blanc etc... There are also another two malls inside, Harvey Nichols and Debenhams where you can spend all day enjoying your retail therapy and just have fun!!

Burj Al Arab

Okay, so as some of you may already know that Burj Al Arab is one of the world's most luxurious hotel and also the one and only "7-star" property. To be honest, I got my mind set on that dream place ever since I saw it on tv so when my sister told me that we're gonna have lunch there and I get to pick any restaurant of my choice...oh boy, I was thrilled!

I visited the hotel's website www.burj-al-arab.com and browsed thru lists of fine dining places, I finally decided to go with this Mediterranean restaurant 200 meters above the sea overlooking Arabian gulf called "Al Muntaha" (which means the highest or the ultimate in Arabic)
